After weeks of leaks we covered about Gemini 3 Pro’s launch date and features, Google officially unveiled its newest model on November 18, 2025. The predictions proved accurate, and the results exceeded all expectations.

The Launch Everyone Was Waiting For

Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet, officially announced the new model’s arrival in a post on X, stating: “Introducing Gemini 3. It’s the best model in the world for multimodal understanding, and our most powerful agentic + vibe coding model yet.”

The announcement came with impressive numbers. The new model scored 1501 Elo points on the LMArena leaderboard, outperforming all competitors by a clear margin.

A Real Leap in Artificial Intelligence

According to Demis Hassabis, CEO of Google DeepMind, Gemini 3 represents “the best model in the world for multimodal understanding.” But what makes it genuinely different?

Hassabis explained that the model was “built from the start to seamlessly synthesize information about any topic across multiple modalities, including text, images, video, audio and code.”

The Numbers Speak for Themselves

Gemini 3 Pro achieved unprecedented results in major performance benchmarks:

  • 91.9% on GPQA Diamond, which measures PhD-level reasoning capability
  • 37.5% on Humanity’s Last Exam without using any tools
  • 81% on MMMU-Pro for multimodal reasoning
  • 87.6% on Video-MMMU for video understanding
  • 72.1% on SimpleQA Verified for factual accuracy

By contrast, the model scored 23.4% on MathArena Apex, setting a new standard in advanced mathematics.

Where Can You Use Gemini 3 Now?

Unlike previous launches, Google began immediate rollout across its platforms:

For General Users:

  • Gemini app (available immediately)
  • AI Mode in Google Search for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the United States

For Developers:

  • Google AI Studio
  • Vertex AI
  • The new Google Antigravity development platform
  • Third-party tools like Cursor, GitHub, JetBrains, and Replit

On another note, the company announced that the enhanced Deep Think mode will reach safety testers first before rolling out to Ultra subscribers in the coming weeks.

Deep Think: When AI Thinks Deeply

Deep Think mode represents a qualitative leap in reasoning capabilities. Tests showed it outperforms even the standard Gemini 3 Pro:

  • 41% on Humanity’s Last Exam (compared to 37.5% for the standard version)
  • 93.8% on GPQA Diamond (compared to 91.9%)
  • 45.1% on the ARC-AGI-2 test that measures novel problem-solving ability

This mode was designed specifically for highly complex tasks requiring deep, multi-step thinking.

Google Search Transforms Completely

Even so, the bigger shift isn’t in the model itself, but in how it integrates with Google Search. The engine can now:

  • Generate custom interactive interfaces for each query
  • Build live simulations to explain complex concepts
  • Create instant calculation tools like mortgage calculators
  • Understand the deep context behind the question, not just keywords

For example, if you search for “how does the three-body problem work,” the model won’t just give you text-it will build an interactive simulation you can play with and understand the physics visually.

Google Antigravity: A Completely New Development Experience

Google announced Google Antigravity, a new development platform built entirely on Gemini 3. The difference here is that AI is no longer just an assistant, but an active partner in the development process.

In this context, the company explained that intelligent agents in Antigravity have direct access to the editor, terminal, and browser, and can plan and execute complex programming tasks from start to finish independently, while automatically validating their code.

Gemini Agent: The Assistant That Actually Gets Things Done

Google reported launching Gemini Agent for Google AI Ultra subscribers-an intelligent agent capable of executing multi-step tasks such as:

  • Organizing the Gmail inbox
  • Booking local services
  • Planning trips
  • Managing complex workflows

The model showed clear superiority in the Vending-Bench 2 test that measures long-horizon planning ability, maintaining consistent tool usage and decision-making for a full simulated year without drifting off task.

Security First

Google didn’t ignore the security aspect. According to the company, Gemini 3 underwent “the most comprehensive set of safety evaluations of any Google AI model to date.”

The model demonstrated:

  • Better resistance to Prompt Injection attacks
  • Reduced sycophancy (not agreeing with everything the user says)
  • Enhanced protection against cyber misuse

The company also partnered with independent experts from Apollo, Vaultis, and Dreadnode, in addition to the UK AISI.

What’s Next?

Google expressed its intention to release additional models within the Gemini 3 family soon. Automatic model routing is also coming, where simple questions will be sent to lighter models, while Gemini 3’s power is reserved for complex tasks.

Pichai added: “We hope you like Gemini 3, we’ll keep improving it, and look forward to seeing what you build with it. Much more to come!”

The Bottom Line

After the leaks gave us a glimpse, Gemini 3 has finally arrived and exceeded expectations. The model isn’t just a technical upgrade-it’s a redefinition of how we interact with artificial intelligence.

Through its deep integration with Google Search, superior coding capabilities, and intelligent agent system, Google appears to have set a new standard that competitors will struggle to match.

The experience is available now. The only remaining question: How will you use this power?
